Simeon Perry Clark (1820-1887) was born at Clark's Mills, in Shannock, Rhode Island in 1820. He did much to improve the hamlet which was to a large degree dependent upon the manufacturing interest that he conducted there.-- (Representative Men and Old families of Rhode Island: 1908)
